I find the world a strange and (sometimes) hilarious place – filled with things that just beg to be photographed.
This is usually the case when I am on the run, walking down the street, or just going about my day – so what I capture is on the fly – often with my phone, but sometimes when I am lucky enough to be out with my camera as well.
I’ve been collecting these images for several years now, and have wondered what to do with them … some have made their way into work.
Many will do so in the future, I am sure. Regardless – they sit in their folder on my hard drive, asking to be shared … so I am responding to that, here.
Welcome to “Oddments”: images I have gathered in the course of my travels over the years. Many of these images fall loosely into the category of ‘street photography’ as they are culled from urban and urban-ish experiences of walking and observing - things have struck me as funny, odd, absurd, strange, or otherwise noteworthy. Other images derive from having the good fortune to be able to spend time outdoors in various locales, and these reflect moments of seeing how extraordinary is the privilege of living on this breathing planet.
These are all digital images, manipulated in post-prioduction; reproductions take various non-editioned forms, including blank greeting cards, as the mood strikes me.
If you interested in one or more of these images, get in touch, and we can talk about a custom selection of images and formats.
I have two sets of greeting cards available (as you can see) already - you will find them available for sale in my SHOP.
