The Work!

I've had some requests to share images of the work currently in my exhibition in Macromareal at Harvest Gallery in Wolfville, NS. All the work below is available for purchase, if by chance you were interested in having some maritime-themed art in your life. Please contact Harvest Gallery with questions.

Some of the work was created in 2020, for a different iteration of this project, that was shown at SNAP Gallery in Edmonton AB. You can find information about that more expansive and collaborative work here and here. But in addition to bringing this earlier work to Nova Scotia for the first time (!), this exhibition has also been a fantastic opportunity to revisit the project as a whole, and think through the ideas that informed it from a different vantage point: now I live and work next to the Bay of Fundy, and its rhythms and sometimes changeable nature are threading through my life on a daily basis.

SO - for those who were asking - here's a gallery of the wall-hung cyanotypes I'm showing:

I also have a collection of buoys in the front window; These are found objects that have been gathered from the shore, and repurposed by collaging torn cyanotypes onto them. There's quite a number of them!:

Let me know what you think - and if you have questions about the work, I'm happy to chat about it! IF you want a little more background on the exhibition, have a look at the press release.
